I hope Easter finds everyone well! We had a great time this morning with a visit from the Easter Bunny, a great brunch with family and a successful Easter Egg Hunt! Jillian loved hunting eggs, Conner and James had a great time too. Cadence was more interested in playing in the rocks. Everyone had a great time. It is hard to believe it is already April. In 3 months Conner will be 4 and in 7 months the girls will be 2! Where does the time go?

Cadence may have been first to get a tooth and he first to walk. Jillian beat her to the punch with words. Jillian and Cadence both got baby dolls for Christmas from Grandma Toni. Now when Jillian picks up her baby she says BABY :-)

Also Conner has been wearing his big boy underwear now for two days with no wetting accidents. He is so proud of himself and so are we!

What a great year it has been. There have been some stresses and tough times and through it all we had each other. We have learned to laugh at our faults and learn from them. Believe me Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff is our new family motto! Now here we are in the midst of the holiday season and everything we have endured has been worth it. Conner can not wait for the arrival of Santa. The girls think he is just another man in a red suit but they are loving all the fancy lights and decorations that come with Christmas. We are blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends! Happy Holidays to all and we wish you all the best in 2009!

Jillian and Cadence celebrated their first birthday November 11th. Shortly after Jillian started walking. Now both girls are mobile and running all over the place. The first year was sure tough and we are blessed to have family so close by to help us! I don’t know what we would do without them. I hope everyone is doing well as the holidays approach!

Can you believe it? At 10 months old Cadi took her first steps and has been unstoppable ever since. She loves to be mobile and explore new things. Jillian is about ready to start her adventure in walking now, about a month later than Cadence. Jillian is content to stay in one spot and work with what she has in arms reach. It will be interesting to see if this is a crystal ball look into their future personalities. It has already been so fun to watch them learn and grow. I can not believe they will be turning one in just a few weeks!

On September 27, 2008, I’ll be walking in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night® Walk to raise funds to help fight cancer. I know September seems so far away. I have set a large personal goal of $1,000 so I need to begin raising funds now and September will be here before we know it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

I’d like to enlist your support for this important cause. It’s important because there are more than 823,000 people in the United States and Canada who are fighting blood cancers. Although research is responsible for increasing survival rates for these diseases, the battle is far from over.

•Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every 10 minutes, someone dies.

•Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer death among children and young adults under the age of 20.

•Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers and incidence increases with age.

•The myeloma survival rate is only 34 percent. Incidence is nearly double for African- Americans as for all other races.

In addition to your valuable sponsorship, I encourage you to join me in Light The Night and to ask friends or family members to walk with you. Simply visit

Thank you very much for your support.

Well after 5 months off it is time for me to head back to work. I knew this day was coming but still it is hard! On March 3rd I will be heading back to work. I am also focusing effort on my Partylite business in hopes to some day do that full time out of our home so I can spend more time with the kids. If you would like to learn more give me a ring :-)  On the same day I go back to work, Conner will start his first day of pre-school. He will be going part time two days a week to be around other kids and get a break from his baby sisters :-) Him and I have been going to his preschool for the last few weeks in hopes that it will not be so traumatic when I leave him there. He has so much fun playing with the others. He is going to have a blast, it will be harder on me I am sure. Wish us luck!

Yesterday Jillian rolled over for the first time. We were all laying on the ground giving them their tummy time and before you know it… she rolled over. Jim and I looked at each other in shock. Then she did it again! They are growing up to fast. They are only 2 1/2 months old and she is rolling over already.

I can’t believe it, the girls are already 2 months old. They are changing so much every day! They can hold their heads up pretty good (still a little bit bobble headed) and they are smiling so much! Big Brother Conner just loves his little sisters. He helps burp them and wants to hold them but only for a few seconds. When Jillian spits out her pacifier Conner puts it back in for her and when he wakes up in the morning he goes to each of them and says hi. It is so cute to watch. Jim and I are doing ok. We still struggle to get into a routine. I will be returning back to work March 4th so it will get even harder then. There are nights we get plenty of sleep and others we don’t get nearly enough! It sure is worth it when you see Cadence smile, or hear Jillian coo, or listen to Conner laugh. We are all learning how to work together and getting better at it each day!

Happy New Year from The Nessen Family!
